Texas nonprofits do not file annual reports with the Secretary of State. They file a periodic report not more than once every four years, when asked. Purpose as filed
The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Specifically, the corporation is organized to:
- Provide faith-based educational resources and programs that teach children to recognize patterns in God's creation, develop spiritual discernment, and grow in biblical truth and stewardship.
- Create, publish, and distribute children's literature and related educational materials (including the Pattern Seekers series) that promote a biblical worldview, moral clarity, and the ability to discern truth from deception.
- Support outreach ministries, including providing age-appropriate books and resources to children and families in hospital and medical settings.
- Offer practical instruction in gardening, homesteading, and agricultural skills as a means of teaching responsibility, stewardship of the earth, and dependence upon God.
Organizing for 501(c)(3) purposes is not the same as IRS recognition. The determination letter is still pending.
How we meet
At least annually, and whenever a gift, a filing, or a child in hospital requires a decision the board should own. Minutes stay with the secretary. Conflicts are named out loud, then left outside the vote — see the conflict of interest policy.
Compensation
No one is paid from gifts today. If that changes, it will appear on the Form 990, and this paragraph will change on the same day. We do not hide salaries in a footnote.
Independent eyes
When receipts grow large enough that a review or audit is wise — or required — we will engage it and post the result next to the 990. Until then, the ledger and this site are the public window.
If something is wrong
The whistleblower policy is written so a volunteer, a donor, or a neighbor can say so without losing the garden. Write the desk and mark the note as a concern.
